Our commitment
larsen.live is committed to making its service accessible to everyone, in accordance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria. Accessibility is not a bonus — it's a given.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. Automated tests (axe-core) run continuously to detect and fix accessibility violations.
What's in place
- Full keyboard navigation (Tab, arrow keys, Escape, Enter)
- Semantic HTML5 structure, ARIA roles and labels for screen readers
- Contrast ratios verified automatically (WCAG AA: 4.5:1 normal text, 3:1 large text)
- Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of information
- Respects system "reduce motion" setting — visual effects are automatically disabled
- Automatic image optimization when data saver is enabled
- Graphics quality selector (Low / Medium / Ultra) to adapt effects to your device
Known limitations
- Text contrast on event cards depends on the dominant color extracted from the poster — some rare combinations may have insufficient contrast
- The interactive map (MapLibre) has limited keyboard accessibility
Technologies
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React/Next.js), WAI-ARIA 1.2. Images are served in WebP with device-adapted sizes.
Testing
Accessibility is verified automatically via axe-core (integrated in Cypress tests). Every public page is tested in light mode, dark mode, French and English.
